The ABC of Harmony attempts to offer a simple, concise approach. Basic requirements from primary to chromatic chords are covered as simple as possible. Book A sets out to give the student a grasp of primary & secondary chords and their inversions, and experience in using standard chord progressions. The extensive exercises will help confidence and fluency. To help to simplify matters, only single bass clef notes and two or three-part treble clef chords are used in the first 5 chapters. Essentials of part-writing are introduced in Chapter 6.
